Characters

Locations

See also: Locations of The Revenge of Mr. Shade

There's a total of 87 locations divided between 9 floors. On top of that it's possible to warp to a "void" room with cheat codes. For a full list of all locations, see the locations page.

Items

See also: Items of The Revenge of Mr. Shade

There's a total of 63 collectable items and 5 you can gain by assembling or processing items. On top of that, it is possible to pick up more or less all objects in the game by using cheat codes. For a full list of all items, see the items page.

Easter eggs and cheat codes

The game has these codes that can be entered and change the gameplay in various ways as described. These have been found by inspecting the source code. This also means it hasn't been possible to confirm all they do, but effects has been figured out by trying them out in the game.

Some things worth mentioning when using the codes:

  • The codes can be entered in either lowercase or uppercase, but are shown here in uppercase as that's how they're usually presented (in the source code) and that's hopefully easier to read.
  • When the code has been successfully entered a sound will play. Note that this plays even if it doesn't change anything (for instance when trying to add an item you already have in your inventory)
Code Requirement Effect
HIFI
BLUES
NINJA
LOCATION Needs to be followed by a location number as described by the location page Goes to the location specified by the number. For instance entering LOCATION47 will move you to the middle of the room with the giant butterfly on 2nd floor. Furthermore some extra details apply.
ITEM Needs to be followed by a item number as described by the items page Adds the item specified by the number to your inventory. For instance entering ITEM130 adds the feather to your inventory. Furthermore some extra details apply.
FUKUNG
CARD The key card needs to be collected Fills up the key card (if collected). In basement you still have to pick up the paper begind the plant in the last room and on ground floor you still have to do everything (at least seems like), but on the remaining it's enough to visit the computer to unlock the next level.
RESET None Moves you to the middle of the locaiton you're currently in. If used in the room where Skipper are locked up before they are unlocked, Suzy is picked and moved (as a duplicate) to the middle of the current location. You can however not move out of the room the regular way.
7LEVEL None Goes to location 20, which is the first room of 7th floor (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION20 and some extra details apply.
6LEVEL None Goes to location 18, which is the first room of 6th floor (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION18 and some extra details apply.
5LEVEL None Goes to location 16, which is the first room of 5th floor (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION16 and some extra details apply.
4LEVEL None Goes to location 14, which is the first room of 4th floor (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION14 and some extra details apply.
3LEVEL None Goes to location 12, which is the first room of 3rd floor (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION12 and some extra details apply.
2LEVEL None Goes to location 10, which is the first room of 2nd floor (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION10 and some extra details apply.
1LEVEL None Goes to location 08, which is the first room of 1st floor (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION08 and some extra details apply.
GLEVEL None Goes to location 06, which is the first room of ground floor (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION06 and some extra details apply.
START None Goes to location 28, which is the last room of basement (next to the elevator). The seems to be the same as typing LOCATION28 and some extra details apply.
MICKEY None Typing this any scene, will change the voices to a high pitch until leaving the scene (either manually or automatically if part of a cutscene). The narrator (at least in the Danish version) doesn't change pitch.
WARP2 Skipper or Suzy needs to be unlocked (health bar activated) Switches the character you're playing with, between Skipper and Suzy
VITAMIN None Fills up the health bar, even if not activated

The location codes

When using the LOCATION code or one of the level-codes (START, GLEVEL or 1..7LEVEL) you are by default moved to the locaiton specified, as described in the table above.

If you have unlocked Skipper or Suzy (when the health bar is activated) the following applies:

  • When moving to a location next to the one you were in, you are moved to the entrance of the next room - just like you would in regular gameplay.
  • When moving to some location that's not next to the current location, you're moved to the middle of the location.
  • When moving from elevator to first floor on each room, you're standing next to the elevator door - just like in regular gameplay.
  • When moving to the location you're already in will move you to the middle of the location
  • On some floors it is not possible to enter the elevator unless you've unlocked the floor you're on. The doors opens, but they won't enter

If you haven't unlocked either Skipper or Suzy (before the health bar is activated) the following applies:

  • It is possible to move locations, but only Skeeto will be in the screen
  • It isn't possible to pick up things or move to other rooms the regular way
  • It isn't possible to read signs, but the information about the animals can still be read aloud
  • It seems like (at least in the Danish version) that it's Suzy that's supposed to be there. The narrator for instance says "as Suzy enters the room she..." and it's Suzy that's reacting to them meeting a spider

The item codes

When using the ITEM code, you by default get the item identified by the number appended. However some extra details apply:

  • A bit like in usual gameplay:
    • Items that are of same kind (like the papers or the candy) will stack
    • Adding items via the code will still remove the item from the floor, like you've picked it up
    • Items will be picked up if they're left on the floor if the code is entered
  • It is not possible to add an item you already have, but the "code accepted" sound will still play
  • It is possible to add an item that has previous been used (for instance the key in the first room). The item can also be left on the floor, but can not be picked up again by Skipper/Suzy
  • Entering a number that's not present in the items list might crash the game or leave it hanging
