Magnus & Myggen is the Danish title of the franchise. Magnus is a common Danish boys name[1]. Myggen directly translate to The Mosquito.
As far as it's known, all games, series and books were created in Danish and originally published by Ivanoff Interactive.
They've been taken over by Krea Media A/S in 2013 and shortly after that the IP got handed over to Egmont Kids Media Digital A/S and taken down in 2014.
